Thank you for celebrating with us! Affordable Housing Month 2025 was an incredible month of connection, learning, and action — and it wouldn’t have been possible without you.

Together with our partners, we explored innovative affordable housing projects, lifted up community-led solutions, and deepened conversations about the policies that make housing possible in San Mateo County. Whether you joined a workshop, toured a site, or helped host an event, you are part of a growing coalition of housing champions. Each year, Affordable Housing Month gives us a chance to celebrate what we’ve built together and imagine what’s next.
We’re committed to making the month even more inclusive and impactful, and your feedback is essential to that growth. Tell us how we did by completing our quick, 5-minute anonymous survey:

“Making Affordable Housing Happen” – Hosted by Menlo Together.
Over 40 community members joined the conversation about the future of affordable housing in Menlo Park. Residents learned about the city’s housing history, who benefits from affordable homes, and how land, funding, and community support can help make them a reality. See more photos here.

AHM Annual Bus Tour, Hosted by The Housing Leadership Council
We’re deeply grateful to everyone who joined us, shared stories, opened doors, and made space for powerful conversations about affordable housing in San Mateo County.
From Kiku Crossing to Veterans Village to Serramonte Del Rey, each stop reminded us that when we invest in homes, we invest in people. We saw firsthand what’s possible when local leaders, community members, and advocates come together. See more photos here.

Midway Village Phase 1 Grand Opening & Phase 2 Groundbreaking – Hosted By Midpen Housing
Elected officials and public- and private-sector partners gathered for a dual celebration: MidPen Housing’s grand opening of 147 affordable homes at Midway Village I and the groundbreaking of 113 affordable apartments and a state-of-the art child care center at Midway Village 2. Watch the video recap.

Kiku Crossing’s Transportation Demand Management Tour – Hosted By Midpen Housing & Partners
Attendees joined us to explore how affordable housing supports sustainable transportation options like biking, walking, transit, and carpooling. Co-hosted by MidPen Housing and partners, the event highlighted how smart design can reduce traffic and pollution while improving access.

AHM Policy Breakfast – Hosted By The Housing Leadership Council of San Mateo
HLC hosted our annual Policy Breakfast, bringing together community members and elected officials from across the Peninsula. More than 90 attendees came together to discuss housing issues at the federal, county, and local levels. We’re grateful to everyone who participated in growing a stronger housing movement. See all the photos here.
