Critical Role Non-Housing Organizations Can Play to Create Affordable Housing

Workshop Summary

Affordable housing is a critical issue that is impacting San Mateo County. Regionally, the lack of affordable housing has far-reaching social and economic consequences. While housing organizations and government agencies play a significant role in addressing this challenge, there is an untapped potential for non-housing organizations to contribute meaningfully. This discussion aims to explore and highlight the ways in which non-housing organizations can play a critical role in creating affordable housing solutions by harnessing the resources and expertise of a diverse range of organizations. Through collaboration and innovative strategies, we can pave the way towards more inclusive and sustainable communities for all within the County of San Mateo.
