Why it needs our support

These 225 affordable homes in San Mateo are needed to help provide stability and homes to the city’s many workers. This proposal has been increased from 164 to 225 affordable homes along with deeper levels of affordability than originally proposed! We applaud these changes, however with increased size comes an even more vocal opposition by a small handful of individuals. This proposal would be located less between 2-3 blocks from Caltrain (less than half a mile) and is located close to downtown San Mateo.

It would help combat current displacement by providing people the opportunity to stay in their community and be well connected with the rest of San Mateo County.
