Summary

On May 21, HIP Housing presented the Housing Readiness Program for Seniors! This program empowers San Mateo County community members to navigate the complex local housing landscape by providing support through housing resources, assistance with housing applications, and other activities. With older adults being the fastest-growing demographic of homeless individuals, the program offers case management to very low-income older adults who need support with applying for affordable housing, creating a budget, and developing a housing plan. The Lunch and Learn virtual presentation included information about the program’s activities, how consumers can get involved, and answered questions about the program.
