Why it Needs Our Support

These 540 homes would greatly benefit the City of Redwood City and provide a space for residents to rest their head at night. The “Redwood City South Main” proposed development would provide 147 deeply affordable homes and 393 market-rate homes. That’s 27% affordable homes, more than the 20% required! The affordable housing being provided would serve a deep variety of incomes. A portion of the affordable housing would be stand alone affordable, allowing for much needed tailored services to communities that need them. Located at 1601 El Camino Real, these homes would also have all ages child care, open space improvements and much more. Redwood City would benefit from the increased diversity this development would provide.
